A successful DGZfP expert conference on railways in Erfurt

From 15.03. to 17.03.2022, the 12th DGZfP conference in railway NDT took place at the Erfurt trade fair centre. We were represented with a stand as exhibitor and presented our testing system for solid axles SA-UT.

In addition to the numerous posters presented on the poster evening, we were especially looking forward to the interesting lectures by experts from the industry.  After the long period of contact restrictions due to the Covid pandemic, it was good to have refreshing personal discussions with interested parties, customers and exhibitors again.

The dominant topics of the conference were digitalisation in railways, risk-based failure prediction and maintenance concepts, as well as new technologies for non-destructive component testing of wheelsets, wheelset shafts and wheel tyres.

Our SA-UT was very well received and attracted numerous interested parties to our stand. With the SA-UT, we were able to present a system that uses phased-array ultrasonic technology to offer a fast and thorough solid axle inspection in the installed state without operator influence.

DTEC would like to thank all speakers, exhibitors and interested parties for this very pleasant and fruitful conference. We look forward to more conferences this year.
